No. It concentrates on central Crete from one Heraklion base. Add a western overnight stay if Chania and the far-western beaches are priorities.

Yes, particularly for a wider island trip. This sample chooses the convenience of one base; a custom version can split nights between regions.

Can we follow this in winter?

Some visits need changes or appointments, especially Lychnostatis and small village museums. Shorter daylight also means reducing outdoor stops and returning earlier.
