Clicky analytics

Clicky loads on every page regardless of your cookie selections. Rejecting optional analytics does not disable Clicky. It measures page visits and interactions and receives page addresses, referrers, browser information and connection information through our server. Clicky may use its own cookies depending on its privacy settings; our optional analytics controls do not manage those cookies.

Necessary cookies and storage

These first-party cookies support the service you request. They are not used for advertising and do not need an optional opt-in. Blocking them in your browser may prevent sign-in or stop us remembering your choices.

__Secure-better-auth.session_token

Provider: Map Your Days. Keeps you signed in securely. Expires after up to 7 days and may renew while you use the site; removed on sign-out. HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it. In local development its name is better-auth.session_token.

myd_cookie_choices

Provider: Map Your Days. Stores your analytics and Google-content choices, the policy version, and the time you saved them. Lasts up to 180 days; it has no random visitor ID. Rejection and acceptance are remembered for the same period.

myd_statistics_choice

Provider: Map Your Days. Remembers an explicit on/off choice for anonymous site statistics for up to 180 days. Contains only 1 or 0, with no visitor ID. It is set when you save a choice, not merely when you visit. Earlier analytics rejection disables these statistics unless you explicitly enable them.

myd_privacy_cleanup_pending

Provider: Map Your Days. A temporary session-storage flag, not a cookie, used when a privacy-choice reload needs to finish removing an earlier analytics record. It contains no visitor identifier or trip details, is cleared after successful cleanup, and lasts only for this tab’s session.

Anonymous site statistics, with an opt-out

Our first-party statistics send only fixed categories for page views, broad referrals, tool actions, planner milestones and performance buckets. Requests omit cookies and the original referrer. Each accepted request increments a daily total; there are no individual event records or persistent visitor IDs. Inputs, account IDs, exact timestamps, URLs, IP addresses and device fingerprints are not kept in this statistics store. Totals are not combined with customer records or sent to a third-party analytics provider, and are removed after 90 UTC dates by cleanup every six hours. They count actions, not unique visitors.

This separate measurement is available without an optional opt-in. Turn off Anonymous site statistics in Cookie settings or choose Reject optional to stop future counts. Previous analytics rejection, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also keep it off. Choosing anonymous statistics does not enable Google Analytics or account-linked tracking. See our privacy policy for operational totals and infrastructure handling. Clicky remains a separate service, not covered by this statistics design.

Optional analytics

myd_acquisition

Provider: Map Your Days. A random, HTTP-only browser identifier, used only after analytics consent. Lasts up to 30 days. Helps us understand which broad referral sources lead to fixed planner milestones, signups and completed plans. The milestones include only categories such as start, step complete, preview viewed, submit, first edit and day replan; they never include destinations, dates, notes or form values. After signup, a visit may be linked to an internal account ID. This is pseudonymous, not anonymous.

_ga and _ga_…

Provider: Google Analytics, stored on this website after analytics consent. Pseudonymous browser and session identifiers help measure visits to public pages. Configured to last up to 180 days, without renewing their expiry on each visit. These cookies are removed when you turn analytics off.

Analytics records do not include names, email addresses, full referring URLs or trip content. Our first-party records are retained for 90 days, with cleanup every six hours. Google Analytics measures only public pages, using cleaned page addresses without query strings and browser/device information. Private trips, account pages, form entries and search text are excluded. Google Analytics user-level and event-level retention is set to two months; aggregated reports may last longer. Advertising features and automatic form and search tracking are disabled.

Rejecting analytics also requests removal of this browser’s attribution and, when signed in, account-linked attribution. If removal fails, we show a message so you can retry. Turning it off also stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies on this site; it does not automatically erase Google’s historical data. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track keep optional analytics off even if you select “Accept optional”.

Optional Google content

Allowing this category loads Google Maps and Places content in your browser, including interactive maps, reviews and opening hours. Google receives your connection and device information, such as your IP address, and the places requested. Its content may use cookies or similar browser technologies under Google’s own policies.

We block the Google browser library until you agree. Google-controlled storage can vary by service and browser; its names and lifetimes are not controlled by Map Your Days. Changing our setting cannot delete cookies belonging to Google’s domains. You can manage those through your browser and Google account.

Without permission, maps and place-detail widgets are replaced with an explanation. Your itinerary, stop list and planning tools that do not need live Google content remain available. Home Base Compare asks you to allow Google maps and place details before it sends locations for a live comparison. Server-side requests needed to create your trip and match itinerary places are separate from this browser permission; see our privacy policy.

Change your mind anytime

Use “Cookie settings” on any page. You can reject all optional features or change each category separately. Continuing to browse or closing settings does not count as consent. Turning off Google Analytics or Google content after it loads reloads the page to stop the active content; save unfinished edits first.

Your choice applies to this browser, not automatically to other browsers or devices. We ask again after 180 days, if your choice is missing, or when the consent version changes. Clearing browser storage will also reset it. Older myd_analytics_choice preferences do not grant permission under this policy and are removed when you save a new choice.
