Day 1
Sagrada Família and the Modernisme corridor
Begin with the hardest reservation, walk to Sant Pau, then move into central Eixample for two contrasting houses.
About 5 km if you walk the whole route; a metro ride from Sant Pau shortens the longest leg
Explore the tiled pavilions and gardens of the former hospital. It is spacious, visually rich, and usually less intense than the morning’s headline sight.
The immersive interior is a useful contrast to Sagrada Família’s scale. Choose the standard visit unless a premium add-on genuinely matters to your group.
Finish on the rooftop among sculptural chimneys. If two paid houses in one afternoon feels excessive, admire the exterior and use the time for dinner in Gràcia.
Walk beyond the first rows before choosing lunch. The market is busiest around midday, so treat it as a tasting stop rather than a leisurely sit-down meal.
Connect the places you have visited with a wide city panorama. This is a daytime viewpoint stop, not a promise of sunset access; leave before the gates close.

Day 4
Montjuïc museums and the waterfront
Use Montjuïc’s escalators and cable transport strategically, then come downhill for a waterfront evening.
Metro, funicular or bus, then about 4 km walking downhill
Ride toward the castle for views over the port. The journey is the main experience, so skip a lengthy castle visit unless military history is a priority.
Choose either the Romanesque collection or the modern galleries rather than racing through the entire museum, then pause on the palace terrace.
