Use the complete route distance
Enter the distance for one direction and choose round trip when needed. Include planned detours before treating the result as a trip total.
Estimate gas, petrol or diesel needed from your route, vehicle efficiency and expected price, or calculate MPG or L/100 km from fuel already used—without sharing a route or creating an account.
Calculate gas, petrol or diesel cost from distance and vehicle efficiency, or use actual distance and fuel consumed to calculate MPG or L/100 km. Nothing is uploaded, saved or matched to a live route.
This estimate uses only your distance, efficiency and fuel price. It does not read traffic, elevation, weather or live pump prices.
It does not read a live route, traffic, elevation, weather, idling, fuel prices, taxes, vehicle load or driving style. Real consumption can differ from the efficiency you enter. Confirm the complete route and current fuel price before relying on the total.
For an electric vehicle, use a charging calculator based on your vehicle, route, charger prices and expected charging losses instead of treating MPG or L/100 km as an EV estimate.
For miles, fuel needed is distance divided by MPG. For kilometres, it is distance multiplied by L/100 km and divided by 100. The calculator then multiplies fuel by the price and number of vehicles.
To calculate actual mileage, enter the distance covered and fuel consumed across the same interval. MPG divides miles by gallons; L/100 km divides liters by kilometers and multiplies by 100.

Enter the distance for one direction and choose round trip when needed. Include planned detours before treating the result as a trip total.
A combined or recent real-world MPG or L/100 km figure is usually more useful than an ideal laboratory rating.
Prices can change across a long route. Enter a practical average instead of assuming every stop matches the price near home.
